The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine welcomes your pediatric anesthesia fellows for a one-day simulation training event. For the last nine years, Johns Hopkins has hosted a high-fidelity simulation bootcamp for pediatric anesthesia fellows in the spring of their training. This event represents a collaborative effort between many of the country’s premier educators from neighboring institutions such as the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Children’s National, Nemours Children’s Health, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. We would like to extend an invitation for your fellows to join us this year on Saturday May 10th, 2025, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.  Trainees will work through a combination of simulated patient scenarios along with workshops on infant spinals, advanced regional anesthesia techniques, and disaster preparedness. Please read below for more information and to register your fellows! Space is limited to 35 participants!

Event Details

Program schedule is subject to change.

Please complete the registration form.

Once the registration form is completed and submitted, the program coordinator for your institution will receive confirmation of the fellows registration.

The cost of attendance is $175 per fellow. The fee covers the cost of food (breakfast, lunch, light snacks, and beverages) and defrays some of the simulation center cost.

The payment process for the fellows registration will be managed differently this year. Due a large number of checks being lost in the mail or distributed to the wrong address/location, payment for the fellows registration will take place on the day of the Bootcamp (May 10, 2025).

  1. Payment will be by check only. Personal or institutional checks will be accepted.
  2. Checks are to be made payable to “Johns Hopkins University”.
  3. Johns Hopkins is not able to accept credit card payments or Venmo payments on the day of the Bootcamp.
  4. The program coordinator for each institution will receive a receipt confirming payment received on the day of the Bootcamp.
