Switzman currently serves on several committees, including the AACM Wellness Committee, the JHBMC Pharmacy Committee, and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Peer Assistance Advisors Committee. Switzman is also a State Peer Advisor for Maryland.

On Mondays, Switzman can be found manning the 24 hour AANA helpline for CRNAs who need advice with substance abuse issues or help with another provider they suspect is in trouble.
An active yoga instructor, Switzman teaches yoga at Bayview on Monday mornings. Switzman joined the Bayview CRNA team in 1995 and is very interested in stress reduction and wellbeing.
