Director’s Welcome

Thank you for visiting the Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center’s Anesthesiology and Critical Care (ACCM) website. As part of Johns Hopkins Medicine, our local family of Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists takes pride in delivering the most up to date and safest anesthetic care to Columbia and the broader Howard County community. In addition to supporting our hospital’s operating rooms, administering 12,000 anesthetic cases per year, our services encompass the care of laboring women on Labor and Delivery. Our clinical footprint reaches all parts of the hospital including the Emergency Room, Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Intensive Care Units, NICU, and beyond. We are always in-house and available 24/7, 365 days a year.

While providing excellent clinical care is at the heart of our mission, our department is also committed to supporting the resident education and scholarship goals of Johns Hopkins Medicine. Our providers are actively engaged in multiple quality and safety initiatives locally and system-wide to ensure that we continue to advance the healthcare that we deliver.
