Dr. Giulia Sikorski is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She graduated summa cum laude from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. She earned her M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine followed by a residency in anesthesiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Sikorski joined faculty at Johns Hopkins in 2017 where she worked at Bayview through 2019. During her time at Bayview, she served as the Director of the Adult Burns and Bariatric rotation. While there, she also helped develop and implement an ERAS pathway for bariatric surgery.
In 2019, Dr. Sikorski joined the Ambulatory Division. She developed and implemented our first Advanced Ambulatory Surgery Center Anesthesia Elective in addition to our novel “Pre-tending” Anesthesia Elective for senior residents. She is the Director of Ambulatory Anesthesia Education. Dr. Sikorski’s clinical expertise is in adult ambulatory anesthesia care, but her interests include hands on resident education.
Dr. Sikorski is board-certified in general anesthesiology and certified with Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
