Dr. Clarissa Tomeldan is a Clinical Associate in the department of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Tomeldan is Medical Director of the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Surgery Center. 

Dr. Tomeldan earned her undergraduate biology degree and medical degree at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She completed her residency in anesthesiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Tomeldan was in private practice in Annapolis for 17 years, then returned to Johns Hopkins in 2019.

Her area of interests includes anesthesia techniques and workflow in an ambulatory surgery center, operations management, and resident teaching. Her goal with resident advising is to bridge the gap between working in an academic institution and transitioning to independent practice settings.
