LarSharVeA Bennett joined Johns Hopkins Hospital as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in 2017. Born and raised in Belle Glade, Florida, she traveled ever so slightly south to study nursing at the University of Miami (UM) in Coral Gables, Florida. She later earned a bachelor of science in nursing, graduating from UM in 2007. LarSharVeA went on to work in the spinal cord injury unit at the Miami VA Hospital for 2 years. Later, she worked at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center for 4 years in the pediatric intensive care unit. In 2017, LarSharVeA obtained a master of science in nursing from Wolford College in Naples, FL, where she graduated with a 4.0 grade point average. While in nurse anesthesia school, she founded Anesthesia EveryWear, a company dedicated to promoting the CRNA profession. Here at Johns Hopkins, LarSharVeA is a member of the orthopedic/trauma/spine cohort.
