Kelly Rechtin is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at the Johns Hopkins University Medical Center. She is currently the Clinical Lead of the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center and Plastics CRNA group. Over the past 6 years at Johns Hopkins, she has become increasingly involved in outpatient surgery, and has been active in the development of the new JHOC Orthopedics ASC group, of which she is now the lead. In working with this group, she helped design a patient education pamphlet for regional anesthesia. Kelly is also co-lead of the Plastics Reconstructive Surgery CRNA group, which focuses mainly on Reconstructive Breast Surgery.
Kelly received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University in 1998. She worked as a research assistant in a biochemistry laboratory for a year before going back to school for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Columbia University in 2000. She then received a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from Columbia University in 2004. She has been practicing as a CRNA for 12 years.
