Dr. Courtney Masear is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She serves as the Obstetric Anesthesia Divisional Director for Quality, Safety and Service.
Dr. Masear’s clinical expertise lies in obstetric anesthesia and patient safety. She has a certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology and is a member of the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Masear received her BS in Molecular Biology at Princeton University and her MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed an internship in internal medicine at Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Masear went on to complete a fellowship in obstetric anesthesia at JHUSOM following her residency in anesthesiology.
