Katya Podin, CRNA, MSN, first received an associate’s degree in nursing from the Baltimore City Community College before continuing her education at the College of Notre Dame, where she earned her BSN in nursing. Katya worked as a registered nurse at several different hospitals in Baltimore city and county from 1995 until 2013, when she graduated from the nurse anesthesia program at University of Maryland, Baltimore. During her years as a registered nurse, Katya provided direct care to a variety of patients in intensive care units, critical care units, post-anesthesia care units, and step-down units. In that time, she developed a solid foundation for providing direct care to critically ill patients and maintaining emotional control in emergency situations.

In her current position, Katya enjoys providing anesthesia during different types of surgeries. She has joined several different cohorts to perfect her skills and develop excellence in endoscopy, otolaryngology, robotics, and general surgery cases. Outside work, she enjoys traveling and loves history, architecture, and art.
