The 46th SCA Annual Meeting and Workshops will be held April 27-30 in Toronto, Canada. Once again, Hopkins Cardiac Anesthesiology members are making meaningful and important contributions to the meeting and to the society. Dr. Mary Beth Brady, chair of the annual meeting program committee has spearheaded the assembly of another fantastic meeting. Of note – For the first time ever, the SCA annual meeting will be presented in collaboration with the American Association for Thoracic Surgeons (AATS). The Cardiovascular Outcomes Research in Perioperative Medicine (COR-PM) conference, co-chaired by Dr. Jochen Steppan, will prove to be a powerhouse of investigative learning and discovery. Countless members of the division will be speaking, leading workshops, teaching PBLDs, or participating in committee work. All cardiac anesthesia fellows are presenting their work; many ACCM residents are also doing the same. Dr. Karla Objio, CA1, will participate as an SCA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Junior Resident Scholar Program. Drs. Abernathy, Brady and Muehlschlegel serve on the Board of Directors.
