Dr. Navid Alem is a UC Irvine Health Associate Clinical Professor in the Departments of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and Pain Medicine. Alem received his
medical degree from UC Irvine School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship training at University of Southern California (USC). He has been a member
of the faculty at UC Irvine Health since 2013 and is currently engaged in a multitude of educational, clinical, and scholarly endeavors in the operating rooms as well
as in the realm of acute and chronic pain management. He is the Associate Program Director for residency and keen interests include perioperative paradigms that can
optimize surgery and opioid utilization in the context of pain management.
