1. Understand the indications for a total artificial heart (TAH)
2. Discuss the TAH device
3. Learn the role of echocardiography in a TAH
Dr. Dana Settles is the Director of Cardiac Anesthesia at the University of Louisville, Health Jewish Hospital. She grew up in the Midwest and attended college and medical school in Ohio. She trained in anesthesia at the University of Louisville. She met her husband in college, and they have 3 children (ages 11, 9, and 6).
