Dr. Rakhi Dayal is double board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. She joined the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Southern California in 2012. For three years there, she actively engaged in promoting acute pain and chronic pain practices. Dr. Dayal is presently an Associate Professor at the University of California, Irvine. She is the Program Director of Pain Medicine. Her interests include patient safety and opioid stewardship. Dr. Dayal is actively engaged in substance use disorder at the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and patient safety at the American Society of Anesthesiologists. In addition, she is passionate about the disparities in healthcare and perioperative sustainability.
