Dr. Dodd-o is an associate professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, with clinical expertise in cardiac anesthesiology and critical care medicine. Since joining the Johns Hopkins faculty in 1994, he has built a research program centered on lung ischemia/reperfusion injury, studying how the lung responds to injury during and after cardiopulmonary bypass, mechanical ventilation, and transplantation, including how acute kidney injury influences the lung’s sensitivity to injurious processes.
More recently, he co-authored a study in the Journal of Clinical Medicine with Giancarlo Suffredini and Wei Dong Gao examining ultrasound shear wave elastography of the liver and its implications for perioperative medicine, as well as a paper in the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology and a Critical Care Explorations study on critical care outcomes.
