Dr. Errol Bush is a thoracic surgeon specializing in advanced lung disease, lung transplantation, and thoracic oncology. He leads the Lung Transplant and Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion (EVLP) Programs at Johns Hopkins, expanding donor lung availability through innovative therapies. He completed his medical education and general surgery training at Duke University and his cardiothoracic surgery residency at UCSF. Dr. Bush is skilled in minimally invasive thoracic procedures, including VATS, and has expertise in ECMO. His research focuses on outcomes and health disparities in lung cancer, transplantation, and ECMO care.
