Dr. Lee Goeddel is an assistant professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His clinical expertise is in cardiac anesthesia, surgical critical care, and echocardiography.

Dr. Goeddel attended medical school at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed a masters in public health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed residency in anesthesiology at the University of Alabama Birmingham before returning to Johns Hopkins for fellowships in cardiothoracic anesthesia and surgical critical care. During his fellowships he achieved certification in transthoracic echocardiography as well as transesophageal echocardiography.

His research interests include the relationship between diastolic dysfunction and vascular stiffness in non cardiac surgery as well as team factors analysis. Dr. Goeddel is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, the American Society of Echo, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesia.
