Mary Saliski has been on staff as a certified registered nurse anesthetist in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital since 2010. For part of that time she was the pediatric lead. She earned her nursing degree from the University of Maryland School of Nursing and worked for several years as a staff nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at University of Maryland before attending graduate school at Indiana University. She earned an MSN in perinatal nursing and received certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner and as a neonatal nurse practitioner. After working as a neonatal and pediatric critical care nurse practitioner for nearly 30 years, she returned to school to receive an MSN in nurse anesthesia, which she completed in 2009. She is a member of the national nursing honor society Sigma Theta Tau and has published research related to optimization of sedation management for early mobilization of children in the pediatric intensive care unit.
