Lewis Eder, MS, CRNA, who goes by the name of Chuck, has been a CRNA at Johns Hopkins since 2009. He received his bachelor of science in biology in 1994 and his bachelor of science in nursing in 1998 from the University of Maryland. In 2008, Chuck completed his master of science in nurse anesthesia from the University of Maryland. Before embarking on his nursing career, he worked as a lab technician and medical assistant, and conducted government-related research. Chuck’s clinical specialties at Johns Hopkins include electrophysiology anesthesia, pediatrics, plastic surgery, and endoscopy. He also functions in a leadership role as the CRNA Facilitator and ensures a smooth workflow of the day-to-day operations for the anesthesia staff. Chuck’s nursing career also encompasses extensive experience in trauma, critical care, and neurocritical care stemming from his work at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. On a personal note, Chuck is an active member of his community in Harford County and often partakes in various county fundraising projects for the betterment of his community.
