Dr. Steven Beaudry is an Assistant Professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine, as well as the Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesia Bayview at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Fetal Anesthesia Division. Dr. Beaudry is dual fellowship trained in both obstetric anesthesia and regional anesthesia & acute pain medicine.
Dr. Beaudry is passionate about ensuring that safe and effective anesthetic care is provided to all the pregnant patients within our institution. This includes analgesia for labor and delivery, intraoperative anesthesia for cesarean deliveries, and anesthesia for pregnant women having non-obstetric surgery. Dr. Beaudry is interested in developing clinical pathways that optimize preop, intraop, and post-partum care for obstetric patients having surgery including cesarean delivery and high risk maternal-fetal surgery. His clinical and research interests include optimization of the enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) pathway in the obstetric population, with an emphasis on the utilization of regional anesthesia techniques for postop analgesia.
