She completed a bachelor of science in nursing in 1996 and earned her master of science in nursing informatics in 2003 from the University of Maryland. She worked for 15 years in critical and intensive care nursing before attaining a master of science in nurse anesthesia from the University of Maryland in 2011. She became certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists in 2012 and joined the Johns Hopkins University as a staff CRNA the same year. Her clinical interests are anesthesia for cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional (CVIL), colorectal, otolaryngology, robotic, and plastic surgeries. She also serves as a mentor for student registered nurse anesthetists and gives anesthesia-related educational lectures to staff nurses. Her first priority at work is to ensure patient safety with zero harm. She completed the basic certificate in quality and safety from the Institute of Healthcare Improvement. She also actively participates in the Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program (CUSP) of CVIL, colorectal, and otolaryngology cohorts for safety improvements. [/wr_text][/wr_column][/wr_row]
