Elizabeth (Beth) F. Medina, BSN, CRNA, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of the Philippines. As a student, Beth was a member of the Catholic Student Action. As a nurse, Beth worked as a pioneer nurse in a new hospital in the Philippines until courageously immigrating to the United States after being recruited to assist with the US nursing shortage.

Beth gained coronary care and charge nurse experience at Johns Hopkins, and later obtained her certificate in nurse anesthesiology after being encouraged by an anesthesiologist. After several years working as a nurse anesthetist at Johns Hopkins, Beth did locums assignments around the DMV area before returning. Beth has extensive anesthesia experience, including trauma anesthesia, but is now a principal provider in the Wilmer cohort. Collectively, Beth has been serving the Johns Hopkins community for over 30 years.
