Dr. Harold Gelfand, Clinical Associate, Regional Anesthesia, Acute Pain Treatment and Obstetric Anesthesia, Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine

Dr. Harold Gelfand is a clinical associate in the department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins. His clinical expertise is in regional anesthesia, acute pain treatment and obstetric anesthesia. Dr. Gelfand attended medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School followed by an internship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He went on to complete his residency at National Capital consortium then fellowships in regional anesthesia, acute pain and obstetrics here at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Gelfand is interested in studies on opiate abuse, acute pain outcomes and regional anesthesia. He serves as the Junior Editor for the American Board of Anesthesiology written examination and a reviewer for the publication Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
