Ellen Leider, MSN, Nurse Practitioner, Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine

Ellen S. Leider is a nurse practitioner with the Acute Pain Division within the Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine Department at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She earned her first Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Georgetown University in 2002 and earned her Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015. Currently she is acting lead Nurse Practitioner and is actively working on initiatives aimed at multi-modal pain management strategies relating to enhanced recovery after surgery. In 2005, Ellen was one of the first five critical care nurse practitioners employed at UCSF, worked at Stanford Medical Center within their open heart surgery intensive care unit and was instrumental in starting a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner program at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto, California.
